Job Description:
Sacred Heart University invites applications for the position of Director of Radiologic Science programs. This is a 12-month, full time, non-tenure track clinical faculty position with administrative responsibilities. Rank will be commensurate with credentials and experience. The Radiologic Science programs include the associate degree program in Radiography and certificate programs in MRI, CT, and Sonography. St. Vincent’s College has joined Sacred Heart University’s College of Nursing and College of Health Professions, in the preparation of health professionals distinguished by their commitment to leadership, interprofessional practice, and community service.
The individual in this position will have responsibility for planning, curriculum development, outcomes assessment and program evaluation of the radiologic science programs including maintaining a fully accredited radiography program. Additional responsibilities will include teaching, student recruitment, advisement, and University service.
Requirements:
Qualifications for the position include a minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant field of practice or education; demonstrated proficiency in curriculum design, program development, program administration and evaluation, and academic advising; advanced knowledge and clinical competence in assigned teaching areas; a minimum of three years clinical experience in radiography; a minimum of two years of experience as a faculty member in a JRCERT accredited program; and holds American Registry of Radiologic Technologists current registration in radiography; and holds a current CT Radiographer license. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in scholarship and professional service; and a commitment to collegiality, shared governance, and inter-professional education and practice. Teaching responsibilities may include some combination of on-ground, on-line, and hybrid courses in a highly interactive teaching/learning environment that includes significant faculty/student interaction.
