Caring for Breast Cancer Patients: Diversity, Navigation and Healthcare Professional as Patient

Participants will gain an understanding of some of the challenges faced by patients with diverse backgrounds. The presentation will provide emphasis on the role of the patient navigator among the many healthcare professionals involved in caring for a patient with breast disease. Lastly, the necessary challenges and considerations for when the healthcare professional becomes breast cancer patient.
