Proposed Bylaws Change for 2017 Annual Conference

In cooperation with the CSRT Board of Directors, the Bylaws Committee has proposed two revisions to language related to the leadership of the CSRT.

Please review the proposal below and forward any comments to the CSRT Board through the “Contact Us” link on our website (www.csrt.us). The complete Bylaws of the CSRT may also be found on our website for your reference. The proposal will be voted on during the business meeting of this year’s Annual Conference on October 14.

  1. Proposed global change to replace the term “Chairman” with “Chair,” throughout the document.

Rationale

  • Chair is the more appropriate, gender-neutral term.

  1. Proposed revisions to the qualifications to serve as a CSRT Executive Board member:

Article VIII, SECTION 2: Qualifications

A. All officers of the CSRT:

  1. shall be voting members of the CSRT and the ASRT for two years immediately preceding nomination
  2. shall be credentialed by the ARRT or equivalent
  3. shall have served as an officer or chair of a standing committee in the CSRT
  4. shall show proof of continuing education have the time and availability necessary to represent the CSRT

B. Both president and Vice President must additionally have served as an officer or on a major committee in the CSRT. 

Rationale:

  • All officers serving on the CSRT Board should have the necessary experience with our affiliate organization and the availability required for excellent service.
  • Proposed revisions are similar to qualifications for ASRT Board service.
